What is BPO?

Business process outsourcing service, called BPO service, is a mechanism companies use to lessen costs and boost efficiency. It involves distribution of work previously done in-house to an outside company for finishing.

History

Business process outsourcing is noticeable to the 1800s. Back then, America used Scottish employees to help build wagons and ships.

Types of BPO Services

BPO services consist of accounting services such as payroll and accounting. They also include information technology, human resources and customer service.


Off shoring

When foreign countries execute BPO services, the process is called off shoring. Popular off shoring countries are India and the Philippines.
